Dear Pearl Abyss Devs Team,

Now that the steam deck is on it's way, running Arch linux, and Valve's cooperation with Easy Anti-Cheat and battleeye allowed Easy Anti-Cheat and Battle-eye to run on Steam Proton, I believe that Black Desert requires a little bit of tweaking before running on linux using Steam Proton.
Steam Proton is a Compatibility Layer that runs windows native games on linux, without the need to port the game to linux, or recreating the whole game for linux.
With that said, developers are working to make games running on linux, and many games are running using steam proton on linux already, Elder Scrolls Online, Warframe, and many others are running well, without any adjustments.

Unfortunately, I did not hear any news from Pearl Abyss saying they will make Black Desert finally support linux and the steam deck.

With little effort from the devs, this game can run on steam proton, and it will be a nice thing to have more people playing using operating systems other than windows.
In my personal case, I have many games on steam, and all of them are running exceptionally well on linux using steam proton, and the only game that I cannot run on linux from the entire library is Black Desert Online.

So my suggestion is to put that little effort into tweaking the game just a bit, and make it run on linux using Steam's compatibility layer.
