What are rift bosses?

Rift bosses are solo bosses that appear at different intervals and places for each player. They appear when you are close to their spawn locations and do not need to be summoned.

How many bosses are there?

Each player can have 12 bosses appearing at a time. You can see the number of bosses spawned at the bottom right corner of your screen

What are the names of bosses and their difficulty?

1. Red nose - Normal 

2. Muskan - Normal 

3. Dastardly Bheg - Very difficult

4. Dim tree spirit - difficult

5. Ancient ruins guard - difficult

6. Ronin - difficult

7. Ahib Griffon - Very difficult

8. Ancient Putrum - Very difficult

9. Ferrid - difficult

10. Steel Nux - Very difficult

11. Kavali - Very Difficult 

12. Saunil siege captain - Very difficult

Location of the rift bosses by region.

1. Serendia and balenos regions - Red nose, Muskan, Dastardly bheg.

2. Calpheon region - Ancient ruins guard, Dim tree spirit,Dim tree spirit.

3. Kamasylvia - Ronin, Ahib griffon.

4. Mediah  - Steel Nux, Kavali, Ferrid.

5. Valencia - Ancient Putrum.

NB: all rift bosses can be navigated to except for ancient putrum who will spawn at either desert Fogans, desert nagas or crescent shrine.

Rewards

All bosses drop black stones, dark spirit's greed, a chance to drop remnant of rift, memory fragments as well as boxes according to their difficulty.ie.

1. Normal bosses drop: box of desperate dead

2. Difficult bosses drop: box of distorted dead

3. Very difficult bosses drop: box of silent dead

4. Steel Nux, Saunil Siege Captain and Kavali do no drop boxes but rather drop a huge amount of ancient spirit dust.

5. Ancient putrum drops: howling dead man's chest

which is same as box of silent dead without crons.

NB: with the introduction of the pen boss gear quests, bheg, muskan, Red nose, Dim tree spirit and ahib griffon now drop respective latent aura and crystal.

Tips

1. All bosses in Serendia and Balenos region will get enraged when their hp drops below 40%

2. Dying to rift bosses does not break crystals

3. Rift bosses retain the damage done to them which you don't have to fight from the beginning if you die

4. Avoid the red telegraphs of ahib griffon, ancient ruin guard and putrum in order to to receive minimal damage

5. Dim tree spirit's rage attack can be avoided by standing behind him

6. Ronin's shield only blocks frontal attacks

7. Dark spirit's greed can be exchanged for order items at specific npcs so don't discard them. Nb: 100 dark spirit's greed can be exchanged for 50 advice of valk

8. 240ap and 280dp is enough to face rift bosses just make sure to bring alot of hp pots. Nb: you can always wait for their level to reduce before facing them.

9. The damage done to rift bosses is family based hence different characters can be used against the same rift boss
