NEW & IMPROVEMENTS

CLASS CHANGES

This week’s update will finalize the series of follow-up adjustments regarding the “no mouse movement during skill use” change we previously announced.
 
After these changes, we'll review the PvE and PvP damage for each class, following the recent changes to the damage calculation formula. Our first priority is adjusting PvE damage, and after that's done, we'll move on to fine-tuning PvP damage.
 
Today's update also brings some long-awaited features. We've improved the fall detection system for all classes, resulting in smoother, more reliable movement.
 
We're committed to continually addressing these details to make your adventures even better.
WARRIOR
Main, Succession
Shield Charge
  • Changed your character’s direction to rotate based on the camera direction when using the skill.
 
Prime: Scars of Dusk
  • Moved the AP Increase effect when using the skill to Prime: Counter.
 
Succession: Guard
  • Removed the additional All DP Increase on blocks. Increased the All DP Increase effect to self when using the skill: +20 → +40
 
Shield Counter
  • Changed the skill to Charge Counter.
    • You can activate Charge Counter after Guard blocks, which applies all of Shield Charge's effects and increases its damage by +100%.
 
Hilt Smash
  • Changed the skill to Whirl Smash.
    • You can activate Whirl Smash after Guard blocks, which applies all of Spinning Slash's effects and increases its damage by +20%.
 
Furious Blow
  • Changed the skill as follows.
    • Changed to only require a block to activate.
    • When activated after a block, applies all of Scars of Dusk's effects and increases its damage by +15%.

Head Chase
  • Increased the duration of the Invincible effect by 0.1 sec.
  • Changed your character to maintain their direction while returning to standby pose after using the skill, regardless of camera rotation.

After the last update, Sage Awakening's performance has soared—smoother movement thanks to reduced Stamina consumption, a new defense effect added to Lightning Surge, and a shorter Divine Executioner cooldown. 
Combined with its powerful AoE attacks, these tweaks made Sage Awakening much stronger.
To keep things balanced, we're slightly increasing Stamina costs so you'll need to manage your Stamina more carefully—without sacrificing fluid movement. We've also changed Lightning Prison's defense effect into a Forward Guard, so precise positioning is now key to landing its AoE safely.

MAEGU
Maegu Awakening can instantly dive in with Foxflare Charge, Hazy Path, and Foxflare Ambush for swift Air Attack assassinations. If you manage to escape after striking, Twirling Crane lets you recover HP quickly and leap back into the fight.
In other words, Maegu Awakening excels at hit-and-run tactics—and her overall performance was exceptionally strong. To keep her uniquely deadly without tipping into overpowered territory, we've adjusted her balance accordingly.

DOSA
Dosa Awakening leverages the Elements: Generate effect to both support allies and strike enemies, seamlessly shifting between melee and ranged combat. This versatility comes at a price—skills take slightly longer to activate. However, if you master timing and land your hits, you'll deal serious damage that makes up for the delay.

Previously, Dosa Awakening's ranged attacks were so strong that they could easily take down foes solo from a distance, even though the class is meant to support allies while attacking. To balance this, we've kept his damage intact but tweaked the debuff effects. Now, finishing off enemies from afar with ranged skills will require help from your allies.

  • [Ninja, Kunoichi] Shadow Stomp (I to Absolute) - Fixed the issue where Super Armor was not applied if an attack was activated by being struck during Forward Guard while using the skill.
  • [Ninja] Ninjutsu: Oni Shadow - Fixed the issue where the effects of Succession: Ninjutsu: Concealment were applied when comboed into Ninjutsu: Concealment.
  • [Striker, Mystic] Heavy Fist - Fixed the issue where the falling speed during the jump attack was unnaturally fast.
  • [Shai] Tuck-and-Roll - Fixed the issue where using the skill in Talent resulted in shorter movement distance compared to using the skill with your main weapon.
  • [Mystic] Fixed the issue where consecutive forward Evasion could not be activated with your cestus.
  • [Guardian] Fierce Disdain - Corrected the stats and duration of the Attack Speed Increase effect in the skill description.
  • [Nova] Accel: Twisted Orbit - Fixed the issue where the skill could not be activated during Twisted Orbit's cooldown.
  • [Maegu] Prime: Foxspirit: Deceiver - Fixed the issue where allies could target the summoned double.
  • [Dosa] Fixed the issue where you could unlearn Core skills even while the original skill was on cooldown.
 

Fall Detection for Movement Skills

  • Improved fall detection for movement skills when traversing sloped terrain, reducing interruptions caused by fall checks.
    • Now, your skills will continue more smoothly on gentle slopes, and fall detection will only trigger from slightly higher elevations.
    • The fall detection has been removed from certain skills, allowing them to continue from high places all the way to the ground.
      • However, landing after a fall still causes damage, and falling from great heights may result in death.

One day, a mysterious horse was spotted—bearing the qualities of all three of Krogdalo's children: Arduanatt of the wind, Diné of the earth, and Doom of the flames.


With wings that cleaved the sky, horns shaped like the forest, and a fiery presence that rumbled through the land, no one could explain what they had seen.

 

In time, people began to believe this steed was none other than the King of Celestial Horses himself, returned to the world.


Though it was but his avatar, the tale spread far and wide, and all came to call it by a single name… Krogdalo.


 
The legendary steed has galloped back to Black Desert.
 
On land, it charges with Doom's explosive speed.
In the sky, it soars on Arduanatt's wings.
And at sea, it slices through waves with Diné's power.
 
Adventurers everywhere have witnessed this awe-inspiring sight and said: "Krogdalo, King of the Celestial Horses, has returned!"
 
First revealed at the last Heidel Ball as the Diné-Arduanatt-Doom, this mythical horse will soon make its official debut in the game under its true name: Krogdalo.
 
After the Ball, many called it "Diadoom," and we even considered making that its official name. But thanks to your suggestions via Support and forums, the most popular choices were those that honored the lore, like "Krogdalo's Avatar." Given its legendary status and significance, we've chosen to officially name it "Krogdalo."
 
Only one Krogdalo can be obtained per Family, and if you have Krogdalo's Sanctuary, you can claim it with no extra requirements.
 
The best horse in Black Desert—once "Diadoom," now officially "Krogdalo"—is ready to carry you into new adventures.

  • Krogdalo is now available in the Horse Details window.
    • You can also see the Growth Calculator for Krogdalo in the Mount Information window or via Menu (ESC) > Life > Horse Details.
※ Notes
- Krogdalo cannot breed, be exchanged, or be registered on the Horse Market.
- Krogdalo can be sold or delivered via Stable or Imperial Delivery, but the price is very low.
- Krogdalo can equip both standard and Pearl horse gear (except for gear exclusive to certain horses).
- Krogdalo cannot be checked into Krogdalo’s Sanctuary.
- If Krogdalo tries to enter a castle protected by the Dekrogda relic barrier, it will be affected by the relic’s pulse and fall immediately, just like Mythical Arduanatt and Diné.
 
  • Using Roar as Krogdalo while equipping 5 pieces of Krogdalo's Horse Gear Set will apply special set piece effects.
    • Applies both Wind's Roar and Ocean's Roar effects when using Earth's Roar.
    • Applies both Earth's Roar and Ocean's Roar effects when using Wind's Roar.
    • Applies both Earth's Roar and Wind's Roar effects when using Ocean's Roar.
      • Applies Damage Reduction, Evasion +3, AP +5, and Max HP/Stamina +100 to up to 10 nearby allies including self for 60 min.
      • Cooldowns remain the same as before.
    • Added relevant descriptions to Krogdalo's Horse Gear (champron, barding, saddle, stirrups, horseshoe).

  • Changed the previously inaccessible area near the summit of Duvencrune Mountain to now be accessible.


UI

  • Improved several notification messages displayed at the center of the screen as follows:
    • Changed the priority handling: when multiple center-screen notifications are stacked, they now appear and disappear more naturally based on their priority.
    • Disabled notification messages for sudden price changes in the Central Market.
    • Changed notification behavior: any notifications stacked while using a full-screen UI (e.g., World Map) will no longer appear after the UI is closed.
      • System messages will still be logged in your chat window.
    • Removed the message that appeared when opening a box; item drops now appear only in the item drop log.
 
  • Added a button to purchase Expansion Coupons on the right side of the Edit Preset menu in the Artifact Preset window.
    • Clicking this button lets you buy an Artifact Preset Expansion Coupon.

 


SYSTEM

  • Increased the maximum number of Pet and Artifact Presets.
    • Artifact Presets: Max 10 → Max 20
    • Pet Presets: Max 5 → Max 10
    • Changed the save method for the relevant presets to server-side storage.
      • Artifact presets and pet group settings have been reset during the Aug 14, 2025 (Thu) maintenance, due to this change. We ask for your understanding, Adventurers.
With this change, Artifact and Pet presets are saved automatically on the server—you no longer need to manually save them to Setting Archive.
For example, if you change your presets at home, those changes will automatically apply when you log in from a PC café.

  • [Gamepad Mode] Fixed the issue where items assigned to the Ring Menu wouldn’t show up the first time you opened it if you had already used or equipped all of them.
  • [Gamepad Mode] Fixed the issue where snapping right and then left in the Adventure Log would send the selection all the way to the far left, instead of just moving one slot back.
  • [Gamepad Mode] Fixed the issue where the X button appeared in the upper right corner of the Black Shrine party entry popup.
