Arena of Solare
1. Introduction
Arena of Solare is Black Desert's 3v3 PvP arena that uses Equalized gear and MMR matchmaking!
-
Two modes are available, a Practice mode and a Ranked mode.
-
The matches consist of a best of five, with timed 3 minute rounds.
-
The entry requirement is level 60 with Succession/Awakening quests completed.
-
The arena uses equalized gear, with unlockable options for build customization.
- You may queue as a group of 3 when entering Practice Mode
Season characters cannot currently set their gear due to only being able to equip seasonal appropriate gear such as Tuvala equipment. When attempting to set gear you will be prompted with the following:
2. Entering the Arena
First of all, you can access the Arena of Solare by going to the Esc Menu (ESC) - War (F7) - Arena of Solare.
In this menu you are able to select your load out, queue for a match and view the rules and current rankings. Before queuing for a match you must first use the “Set Gear” option to create your load out.
When starting out, you will only have access to a basic set of gear. Playing Ranked mode will award you with “Seals of Solare” which can be used to unlock other gear options. A win. loss and draw now gives 20 seals.
The cost for Arena of Solare exclusive gear and crystals have also been reduced to 1 seal.
Type | Cost |
Weapons | 1 |
Accessories | 1 |
Crystals | 1 |
Unlike other equipment, you can freely change between armor options so you may build for more DR or more evasion based on your preference.
Since the arena uses this method of gearing, you can play with alt characters that have no gear of their own as long as they meet the standard requirements for entry.
After selecting your gear, it's important to note that Arena of Solare uses your character's current skill add-ons. So you may want to adjust your skill add-ons to be suited to PvP or switch to your PvP skill preset if you have one.
If you're not sure which skill add-ons to use, you may want to view the build of a high ranking member of your class. To see how, check further below in the Rankings section.
Now that your gear has been set, you are able to join a match. Select “Find Match” to queue for Ranked mode or “Practice Mode” for practice mode. Upon entering a match you will be asked if you would like to join the Arena of Solare voice chat.
3. Permanent Practice mode
Practice mode also allows for party queuing for up to 3 people. Only the party leader can start queuing but any party member may cancel the queue.
Practice mode doesn't affect your Ranked score but still uses MMR for more fair matchmaking.
All party members must be on the same server to queue up together and changing server or characters will stop the queuing process. The party leader or party members cannot be changed while queuing.
You can access the Arena of Solare Practice Match by going to the ESC menu → War (F7) → Arena of Solare → [Find Match]
These are the new Arena of Solare practice match hours:

Practice mode and Ranked mode aren't available at the same time. The two modes have set time slots in which they can be played.
Arena of Solare Rules

-
If the remaining total HP is the same, the team with higher total damage will win.
-
The match will be a draw if both total HP and total damage dealt are the same.

5. Arena of Solare Rankings
At the beginning of Arena of Solare, the rank score for all players starts at 700. There's now 10 placement matches instead of 5 from previous seasons.

Your rank score will fluctuate when playing Ranked mode, gaining points for victories and losing points for losses. Consecutive victories give bonus points on victory. There are several rank brackets based on rank score.
During the placement matches, losing a match will not result in a score deduction. However, the penalty for leaving the match remains the same as before.
Winning a match during placement will earn points four times the usual victory points.
