Hello, Adventurers.
This is The MMORPG, Black Desert.

We’d like to announce the updates made to the Black Desert as of 2019, February 20th.
(Patch volume approx. 762,45 MB)

Special Gifts for Special Time!

● Login daily and get special gifts for every!

- Event Period: 2/21 00:00 ~ 2/26 23:59

● Accumulate play time to earn special Challenge Rewards(Y) every day.

● [Shadow Arena] Shadow Guard Tower has been added.

- Be aware! Shadow Guard Tower will attack Adventurers.

- However, you can receive great buff effect by destroying Shadow Guard Tower.

- Dark Vase will no longer be available in Shadow Arena due to the addition of Shadow Guard Tower.

● War Hero can now leave the guild 10 minutes after Conquest War is finished (before it was 00:00).

- Therefore, War Hero can't be registered for 1 hour after Node/Conquest War.

* Node War: Sunday-Friday 21:00~23:00 / Conquest War: Saturday 20:00~24:00

● A message has been added explaining that appointing a member on vacation as guild master can't not be completed.

● [Shadow Arena] Improved the character animation by increasing its speed when using Fire Shot.

● [Shadow Arena] Improved that you can move as Black Spirit immediately after the Spectator Mode starts.

● [Shadow Arena] Red Nose AP has been decreased by 15%, and now it will also target Adventurers who did not inflict damage to Red Nose.

● Items in Shadow Arena can now be equipped without any restriction but only with Main Weapon.

- Main Weapon is restricted to be equipped while moving. Please stop your character to equip the Main Weapon.

- Other gears and items can be equipped without restriction.

● Improved attack/hit effects of all characters for PVP and PVE.

● Price of the following items has been adjusted based on the number of completed transactions and number of Pre-orders/Listed Items for 1 week.

● Due to the addition of bookshelf for Bartali's Adventure Log, it can no longer be opened from inventory.

● Bartali's Adventure Log can now be sold to NPC vendors.

● If you lose the Bartali's Adventure Log, it can no longer be received again from the Calpheon Bookseller, Clara Siciliano.

● Reward for 'Adventure Log: Traces of a Great Adventurer' has been changed.

● Following quests can no longer be received.

- Adventure Log: Bartali's Successor

- Adventure Log: Tracing Footsteps

- Adventure Log: The Journey Continues

- Adventure Log: Hints of an Adventure

- Adventure Log: A Foothold for Success

● Bookshelf for Adventure Log has been added as a new feature.

- Now you can check the Adventure Log through the newly added menu instead of using the Adventure Log Item.

- You can check the missions in progress or missions that were already completed through the Adventure Log on ESC Menu.

● War Hero Ranking has been added.

- War Heros affiliated to guilds and participated Node/Conquest War will be given points based on number of Victory and Guild Member Killed. (Different amount of points are given from Node and Conquest War, and you can cehck the total points from War Hero Ranking page

- The ranking page will be updated once a day (10 minutes after the end of Node/Conquest War).

● A new siege weapon for Conquest War, Ballista, has been added.

- Ballista can deliver a great amount of damage to Gate and Adventurers but receives much damage by Elephant.

- Ballista can only be used for Conquest War in Calpheon, Mediah and Valencia and only offensive guild can use this siege weapon.

- Ballista Factory can be purchased from Guild Military Supply Manager and Spear for Ballista can be crafted by processing Margoria Dark Iron x15, Titanium Ingot x12 and Black Stone Powder x30.

- Ballista Factory requires 5 Grids and requires 10,000 silvers to start the function.

- After completing installation and start Ballista Factory, you can receive Ballista Assembly Set 15 minutes later.

- Ballista will be retrieved after Conquest War ends.

● Flame Tower and Hwacha used for Node and Conquest War can now be upgraded.

- Flame Tower and Hwacha can be upgraded for Tier 3, 4 Node only or when Fort/Command Post/Field HQ for Conquest War are installed.

- Just Like upgrading Barricade, you can upgrade Flame Tower and Hwacha with the required materials after Node/Conquest War begins.

- Be aware! Oil for Flame Tower and Arrow for Hwacha loaded in the Flame Tower and Hwacha will disappear upon upgrade. You need to prepare Oil for Enhanced Flame Tower and Arrow for Big Hwacha.

- Durability and DP of the Enhanced Flame Tower and Big Hwacha's increases by 50% and 20%. Also, their AP increases by 30% providing greater fire power.

* Materials required for the upgrade are as below.

- Steel x100, Melted Platinum Shard x50

- Required amount of time for the upgrade is 90 seconds (same as upgrading Barricade), and the time may be reduced depending of your characther's life skill level.

● Fixed the issue where Guild Bonus was not given to a member promoted from protected Apprentice to a Guild Member.

 

[ALL CLASSES]

● Every skill damage of all characters learned from Lv.1 to Lv.55 has been adjusted.

- Adjustments have been made to basic attack and several skills in order to make it feels like using skills rather than basic attack inflicts more damage. We will continue to make adjustment to help Adventurers to grow by using various skills in these levels.

● Damage by basic attack (LMB) has been adjusted.

- Along with adjustments of damage in the early stage, basic attack damages were also adjusted in order to make skill combos easier with more fun.

● Improved character motion when moving up or down with Q and E key while swimming under water.

● Damage with the following skills after using basic attack has been decreased from PVP.

● Fixed the issue where abnormal amount of damage was inflicted to a target by switching to a certain weapon while the summoned object/creature is active.

 

[WARRIOR]

● Piercing Spear can no longer be used during the cooldown time.

● Fixed a typo in the description of Upper Shield Strike.

● Damage by Slash for each skill level has been changed as below.

● Fixed the issue where back of the Fallen Garzar Armor was awkwardly shown when the armor was equipped with.

 

[BERSERKER]

● Due to the damage adjustment for skills character can learn from Lv.1 to Lv.55, damage by Absolute: Falling Rock has been changed as below.

● Lava Piercer can now be added to Quick Slot.

● Damage by Elastic Force for each skill level has been changed as below.

● Fixed the issue where stamina was consumed by 150 when attacking forward with Leaf Slash.

 

[WITCH, WIZARD]

● [Witch, Wizard] Fixed the issue where monster recognition of Magic Lighthouse often became initialized.

- Maximum number of monsters (except boss monsters) that recognize a character are based on the amount of inflicted damage or by a certain summoned object. Many Adventurers have been reporting for a long period of time that there's an issue with Magic Lighthouse that is not correctly recognized by monsters. After conducting constant investigation, we fixed the issue where the monster recognition often becomes initialized under certain situation. We apologize to many Adventurers for causing such an inconvenience and we will constantly monitor issues in order to provide proper solutions.


● Damage by Staff Attack for each skill level has been changed as below.

● Fixed the issue where Wolf Nose could not be dyed.

[DARK KNIGHT]

● Damage by Kriegsmesser Training for each skill level has been changed as below.

[ARCHER]

● Cooldown time of Luthraghon's Call III, IV has been reduced by 1 seconds.

● Improved skill transition to Luthraghon's Call after inflicting 2 hits to left, right and backward hit with Winged Strike.

● Improved skill transition to Luthraghon's Call after inflicting 3 hits with Glissade.

● Improved skill transition to Luthraghon's Call after using Full Bloom.

● Meteor Dive can now be activated during Zephyr Leap by moving backward with Spacebar.

● Skill speed of Glissade has been increased.

● Improved that casting speed of Flow : Light's Trail no longer slows down when the skill is used during the cooldown time.

● Increased Archer's spin speed while rotating the camera view during Righteous Smite.

● Fixed the issue where damage by additional hit was not correctly applied when using Ravenous Talon.

● Speed of the projectile shot by Righteous Smite has been doubled and the effective range has been reduced by 17M.

● Combo speed after using Righteous Smite to another attack skill has been reduced.

 

[ITEM]

● Number of obtainable Insectivore Plant Powder has been increased by 60% when gathering Insectivore Plant.

● Following items can no longer be sold.

- Red-gem Studded Ornament

- Yellow-gem Studded Ornament

- Blue-gem Studded Ornament

- Opulent Pendant

 

[MONSTER]

● Boss monster spawned from Dark Rift will lose its source of power and become weakened by time.

- Boss monster is weakened by 1 level for every 24 hours whether Adventurer is on or offline since its first appearance from Dark Rift, and  the weakening process proceeds maximum 4 times.

- Whenever boss monster becomes weakened, its AP and DP decrease but reward for defeating the monster still remains the same.

● HP and AP of the following monsters from Black Spirit quest in Mediah have been increased.

- Abandoned Iron Mine Executor

- Illezra's Servant

- Skeleton King

- Awakened Black Spirit

● Following monster names in Bashim have been changed.

- Due to the monster name changes above, related Knowledge and Quest names have been changed as well.

● Monsters that were placed on the lowest floor of Helm Tribe Mine have been removed.

● Helm Golem placed on the lowest floow of Helm Tribe Mine has been re-located.

● Recommended AP for Soldier's Grave has been changed to 100 ~ 180.

- EXP gain for defeating monsters in Soldier's Grave has been increased by 10%.

- Monster HP and DP in Soldier's Grave have been adjusted.

● Fixed the issue where Ancient Puturum spawned from Dark Rift disappears after 2.5 hours since combat begins.

● Spawning place of the Boss monster Ferrid from Dark Rift has been changed to the outside of Omar Lava Cave.

 

[MOUNT]

● Fixed the issue where loaded weight on a ship constantly increases often.

● Fixed the issue where the mini game after capturing a wild horse often did not start.

 

[NPC, BACKGROUND, SOUND]

● Fixed the issue where a character could not escape to outside after entering into a building from a roof top in Serendia Western Gateway.

● Made an improvement on NPC's emotional expression by various situation during the Main Quest.

● Made an improvement on NPCs that they behave more naturally during the Main Quest.

● Fixed the issue where grass around Calpheon Castle was placed awkwardly.

● [Shadow Arena] Fixed the issue where characters could climb up the central tower after using Elixir of Swiftness.

● [Shadow Arena] Effect sound of Dark Fog from Shadow Arena will no longer be played after leaving Shadow Arena.

 

[QUEST & KNOWLEDGE]

● Following suggested quests have been changed since the level of combat difficulty in Cron Castle became easier with the addition of Main Quest renewal.

● Available hints for not having the following Knowledge below have been revamped.

● Changed some of the Main Quest Titles so that the titles won't spoil the contents of the quest.

● Fixed the awkward guide description on the dialog of the quest, 'A lost, vengeful spirit'.

● Quest NPC for accepting and completing 'A Sacrifice for the Bell Tower' has been changed to a Villager in front of Hakan Derk. You can proceed the quest more easily with the new NPC.

● When interacting with a Skill Instructor NPC, Exchange button is now displayed only when you have the item, [Event] Snowflake.

● Loure's Lost Gloves and Loure's Lost Shoes can be obtained upon completing Calpheon Main Quest.

● Fixed the issue where the number of completed quests was displayed incorrectly.

- Counting the number of completed quests exclude family or recurring quests, and the total number is updated only after you re-login the game.

 

[UI]

● A new feature has been added that you can right click junk items in your inventory in order to follow up number of obtained items and navigate to the nearest NPC vendor.

● [Central Market] Made an improvement on the scroll bar on Status window to be located at the item you cancel or collect sales.

● Fixed the issue where notification message for registering an Emblem was hidden behind when you check the Stable while having the Emblem in your inventory.

● A tooltip function has been added to the skill button in order to display its full text when it is too long to fit into the button size.

● Fixed the issue where some features did not work when tutorial was not correctly finished.

● Fixed the issue where texts were overlapping on Mount Information window.

● Fixed the issue where UI texture for Knowledge name on upper right corner was displayed incorrectly on Knowledge(H) screen

● Alignment of EXP for Hunting under Life Info from Basic tab on My Information window has been adjusted.

● [Central Market] Made an improvement on the scroll bar that it will be placed beside the item you selected on the list after clicking Previous button.

● [Central Market] Made an improvement that you can move back to the previous page if you right click on the selected item or press Backspace key.

● [Central Market] Mouse cursor will disappear after searching an item from the search bar.

● Improved the NPC dialog window.

- Changed where description was placed when you mouse over Amity on the NPC dialog.

- Removed highlight effect from Learning Skills button on the Skill Instructor NPC dialog when there's no more skill to learn.

- Removed highlight effect from Skill Add-on button on the Skill Instructor NPC dialog when there's no more skill to add.

- Re-located text box which is displayed over Conversation button when you lack of Knowledge about NPC's interest.

● Fixed the issue where item description bleeds out of its window when opening a box item.

● Fixed the issue where descriptions on the bottom of Moon's Blessing window were overlapping.

● Key guide will be displayed when you mount on Cannon, Flame Tower, Hwacha and Ballista instead of displaying skill command.

● UI for selecting Crossroads Quest has been added.

- UI which allows you to select Crossroads Quest will be displayed upon completion of 'Paying Off Debts'.

- If you do not select the quest, the UI will not disappear.

● Improved readability of boss monster's grade and its level of difficulty on Dark Rift window.

● Changed icon indicating where the Ballista is located on World Map(M).

● Fixed the issue where description of Silvers was displayed when you have no item on Give Gift window while interacting with a NPC.

● Removed button description from Sell button when you click this button after opening Central Market through Maid.

● Improved all the scrolls including size and alignment on every window.

● Fixed the issue where Extract Chance button was displayed when attempting Devour while having a Blacksmith's Secret Book.

● Fixed the issue where guild member's Mic UI is not activated even though this guild member's voice is on Guild Window(G).

● Made messages displayed with War Hero, affiliated Guild and notification when a War Hero is registered in to be more clear and detail.

● Fixed the issue where incorrect message was displayed when you close War Hero Contract with ESC key.

● Changed text color for character name from Red to Orange displayed on a tooltip upon ringing a Golden Bell.

● [Shadow Arena] Black Spirit displayed on upper left since the match begins makes a movement to make it easier to notice the number of remaining survivors.

● Monster icons from Dark Rift displayed on World Map (M) will now be displayed with monster level.

● [Shadow Arena] Fixed the notification message "Starting Soon" to be correctly displayed when there are 50 participants joined Shadow Arena.

● War Hero Ranking has been added to the new/old ESC menu.

● Fixed the issue where War Hero's name is incorrectly displayed on the War Hero Contract when he/she is not online.

● Fixed the issue where Conquest Status is incorrectly displayed when a War Hero reads the status for the first time after joining a guild.

● Image on Crossroads Quest will be displayed with a visual effect when it is clicked on the Main Quest UI.

● Dark Rift icon will be permanently displayed on the lower right screen.

● A new feature has been added to Dark Rift UI in order to indicate preceding condition to open Dark Rift.

● NPC name for Amity and Amity points will now be displayed when you mouse over the Amity icon in case Amity is the quest completion reward.

● Re-aligned icons for house usage to fit them in the center for mass house production on World Map(M).

● Made an improvement on the result icon so that it is now correctly displayed on upper left for mass production window on World Map(M).

● Menu name for Shadow Arena Ranking has been changed from New to Hot on the new ESC menu.

● Changed color for Shadow Arena Icon located on the top of the new ESC menu.

● Fixed the issue where the whole list of workers was not displayed on My Gardens list.

● Fixed the issue where the tooltip from Worker's List covers the list of workers you own.

● Fixed the issue where ab enhanced level was displayed on the quest reward window.

● [Central Market] Improved the scroll bar to be set in place next to desired purchase price, desired selling price.

● [Central Market] Placement of scroll bar in Central Market Warehouse will not be reset by other actions made.

● Removed description about silver weight held by a character when you mouse over the weight information on Inventory (I).

● Guild Officers can now renew contract for Apprentice Guild Members.

● Fixed the issue where R button is displayed out of its given UI while progressing certain quests.

● Corrected text alignment of participation status on War Hero List.

● Fixed the issue where UI size did not change on certain UI including Crop mode, etc.

 

[System]

● Fixed the issue where EXP boost for Training and Mount was not applied to Ovlia channels.
