What is Item Copy?
Item Copy lets you share a chosen character’s gear with another tagged character. Copy your main character’s best gear to a new class you wish to try, and use the same gear on both.

Item Copy lets your main character’s gear become available to a tagged character as well.
If you ever wished to don your hard-earned gear on another class/character, simply tag them and embark on a new adventure in Black Desert today.

- Tagging Characters
To use "Item Copy," you must first set up Character Tag and complete the prerequisite quest. Refer to below to get started.
▲ Place both characters in the same town, then LMB the "Tag Characters" button on the top-left corner of your screen.
▲ Select the character to tag, then click “Tag”.

※ Please note the following when tagging characters.
- Tagged characters share their location like a shadow. Enable "Travel Separately" to move them independently. - Tagged characters cannot trade trade goods.  ▲ In the Tag Characters UI, press “Get EXP” to claim the EXP earned by your tagged character.

- Complete the prerequisite quest
- To copy items to your tagged character after tagging, Summon Black Spirit and complete the questline "[Marni's Suspicious Device] A Splendid Deal".

Once both requirements are met, the “Item Copy” button will appear in the Tag Characters window.
To use Item Copy, you’ll need Marni’s Unstable Fuel, which can be purchased for 10 million Silver from Old Moon Manager NPCs in any major city.
The amount of Marni’s Unstable Fuel needed for Item Copy is calculated as below,

- Effect Dye Info for Item Copy
- Sovereign Weapons and Edana's Defense Gear can have their effects dyed using Primordial Pigment.
- When using Item Copy after a Tag, the Effect Dye information will also be copied. (Note: Any dye changes made to the original item after the copy is complete will not be reflected.)
- You cannot dye effects on copied gear.
(Example) If you copy character A's Items to character B, you cannot dye effects on character B's copied equipment.
